MNR&R
Tonight we had a Monday Night Repair and Ride. Sunday afternoon Greg and I were riding Tranquility. We found the second dip on the North Creek Loop had become unsafe. The flowing water and flow of many riders have made the existing armoring fold up in the middle like a muddy taco. It was becoming more likely that a rider would hit it wrong and have a mishap. Greg and I didn't have any tools at the time but started to try to make it better. We decided it would be better to pull enough logs into the trail to try to force riders to walk it till we could figure out what to do.
So, for tonight we took the first 45 min of our MNR to work on making the North Creek Loop a good riding experience again. There just happened to be a nice drain pipe in the creek. We salvaged that along with some gravel and concrete armoring. We positioned everything to keep that section of trail dry. Thanks to everyone for pulling together to get this finished quick. Still had time for a great ride and post ride carbs. Thanks for stocking the Blue Moons Dale!
Warning: Check yourself for ticks. They are out in full force already.

Luigi Waites (July 10, 1927 – April 6, 2010)
Several years back our youngest, Emma, had the opportunity to take drum lessons from Luigi in Ralston. These photos were taken in the spring of 2003 at the "UNO Day of Percussion". We were fortunate to get to know him for a short time. He was an outstanding teacher and will always be a part of our lives. Two years ago we were in Ft. Collins, CO. Emma was buying herself a bike and the guy behind the counter said he just got back from Omaha. He said "Do you know Luigi Waites..."

Who is Stratomatic?
- Stratomatic
- Stratomatica - is my blog place where I document things happening around me or that interest me. The name Strata, geologically speaking, are layers of sedimentary rock or soil with internally consistent characteristics that distinguish it from other layers. Too deep? Well, I like guitars. Mostly I like the sound and feel of Stratocasters.
